ECSCA President, Christina Robinson, M.Ed., LAC

Welcome Essex County School Counselors to the 2023-2024 school and association year.

I hope all of you were able to practice much needed and deserved self-care this summer and are able to find a way to continue it throughout the school year. I invite you to continue this journey with us as we look toward our future. This year, our focus is on all of you – elementary thru high school counselors in our association as well as helping those in our community who are in need.

We are always looking for new members so please invite your school counseling departments to our meet and greet and future meetings.

We look forward to collaborating and exchanging ideas with each other throughout the year. Wishing you all a successful, exciting and fun school year.

With gratitude,

Christina

Advocacy

Advocacy is a critical part of school counseling.  Whether advocating for the role of the school counselor in your building or attending School Counselor Conferences to make changes at the local, state or national level, it is up to each school counselor in Essex County to support the profession.

I love being a school counselor because.
